THIS IS WHERE I WAS BORN

Eph 2:9 KJV Not of works, lest any man should boast.

The words of our Gospel might look incredibly stupid when we tell you that it has nothing to do with your background or where you are brought up, but that is the truth. Different regions and different localities can be seen all over the World. Each locality has its own lifestyle, which makes nothing universal about our way of living or lifestyle because we were born in different places. Even with the truth that where we were born differs, there remains the truth that all Man has been a victim of sinning (or to be called a sinner) through the occasion of commandments/law/rules.

Rom 7:9 KJV For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

So, sin revived in us (or better put, that sin was made alive in us), not because we really want it, but because it took the occasion of the Law, which was meant to set everything in order, and that makes it a bitter truth that, any Man that has been brought under any law, has found a way of been subjected to death because that is the wages of sin,

Rom 6:23 KJV For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The same thing mentioned in Rom. 7:9 is established here in Rom. 6:23. Even though my locality is far different from yours, or our cultural beliefs might be different, the truth still remains the same: we've been brought under sin through those things we've been subjected to. We know that sin has nothing different to do than kill a man (that is, cause Man's death).

Even at the point of being subjected to death and having no hope of living in eternity after the physical death, the Creator, God, provided a way out of death so that Man would not perish through sin.

Rom 6:23 KJV For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The first part of Rom. 6:23 tells us what sin has done in us. Still, the second part of that same verse now makes it clear to us that God's intention for us is to be alive forever (even though the Human body will soon die because it is dust that must return back to dust, but our spirit still has the chance for living forever with our Creator). Notice that God's intention mentioned here is not that we will pay for it or be looking around for it, but the intention is given as a gift to Man. We are sure that anything called a gift is something someone never asked for, but we decided on the richness of our power to give such a person. Not about worthying the value of the gift or not, but God presents eternal life (an eternal life) through Jesus Christ (the sacrifice that was used to bring us back to life).

Rom 5:8 KJV But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

So, God never considered the truth that we are sinners. Still, God loved us even as who we are and paid for the price of the sin that has charged us to death by making a replacement/substitute (which is Christ) for us, which has now caused us to have the gift of God, that is, eternal life at our reachability whenever we accept the gift given to us by God which we never worked for and which the boasting is never for us to make.

Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV [8]For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9]Not of works, lest any man should boast.

The eternal life offered to Man as a gift is never by my own deed or your own deed, it is offered to us by grace, and we only receive it through faith (that is, believing what God has done for you and me in Christ), and that is all. He never asks you to bring anything in exchange because it has no meaning to Him since a Man is dead when sin is in him. So what do you expect from a Dead Man?

Joh 3:16 KJV For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

What are you expected to do to the freely offered gift to you? Yours is to accept it, that is, believe that God put the Messiah (Jesus Christ) in your place to die for you so that you might live again and not perish due to the sins you might not have intentionally committed. He came into the World, died because of you, and was buried for your sake. He resurrected from the grave to declare your total justification before anyone that wants to hold you responsible for your sins again in the future. He came back to life to always declare that, He paid the price on your stead, and nothing can question you again for your sins and not even in the World to come.

Romans 10:8-10 KJV [8]But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; [9]That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10]For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Even though where we were born differs, and your locality is different from mine, which makes your lifestyle totally different from mine, the truth of how we can be saved from perishing is the same, only by accepting the free gift of our Creator. Believe in the sacrifice He made in your stead so that you can have life and confess it with your mouth.

Shalom!
